The idea<\/strong><\/p>\n

The investment project includes interventions in the central building of the municipality of Pella that hosts most of its administration and policy departments.<\/p>\n

The radical energy upgrade of the building is proposed in order to be presented as a model for a public administration unit that promotes:<\/p>\n

(a) energy efficiency in the climate zone of northern Greece<\/p>\n

(b) the New European Bauhaus ‘ principles.<\/p>\n

The New European Bauhaus<\/strong><\/p>\n

The New European Bauhaus is built on three core principles: sustainability, aesthetics, and inclusion. It calls for climate-friendly and resource-efficient solutions, beautiful and high-quality design, and socially inclusive processes that put people and communities at the center.<\/p>\n

1. Sustainability<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Building solutions that are regenerative, climate-neutral, energy-efficient, and respectful of the environment.<\/p>\n

This includes:<\/p>\n

\u00b7 circular design and materials<\/p>\n

\u00b7 reduced emissions<\/p>\n

\u00b7 efficient use of resources<\/p>\n

\u00b7 biodiversity protection<\/p>\n

\u00b7 climate-resilient architecture<\/p>\n

2. Aesthetics & Quality of Experience (Beauty)<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Ensuring that the built environment is not only functional but also beautiful, inspiring, and culturally meaningful.<\/p>\n

This includes:<\/p>\n

\u00b7 high-quality architecture and design<\/p>\n

\u00b7 pleasant, healthy, and human-centered spaces<\/p>\n

\u00b7 cultural and artistic value<\/p>\n

\u00b7 harmony between built and natural environments<\/p>\n

3. Inclusion (Togetherness)<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Creating spaces that are accessible, affordable, and open to all, promoting social equity and community participation.<\/p>\n

This includes:<\/p>\n

\u00b7 co-creation with citizens<\/p>\n

\u00b7 social cohesion and accessibility<\/p>\n

\u00b7 affordable, high-quality living environments<\/p>\n

\u00b7 community engagement and shared ownership.<\/p>\n
